What You'll
Hear:
Wayne got into drugs in high school and
ended up in the emergency room in 1978 after a bad
experience
His first job was at Western Steer Steakhouse
He later became a shop manager at a factory in Dothan, AL
In the mid 80's Wayne's pastor
suggested he get involved in a ministry and to pastor in his
workplace
He read a book "Your Job: Survival or Satisfaction"
Rather than start his own business, he decided to stay in
manufacturing so he could be around more people
The Parable of the Talents can be applied to those of us in our
work
Wayne blogged for a long time
and recently started podcasting after reading a book on the
topic
Will be starting a new podcast called "Breaktime Apologetics
with Wayne"
Since his co-workers were on their phones at break
time, Wayne decided to
post on Facebook and friend his co-workers so they can see what he
believes in there
Lessons from his podcast
With T-shirts, don't use secular brand logos but something more
powerful and blunt
Put your main graphics on the back, not the front of your T-shirt
so they won't be intimidated
Use the radio to share the Gospel at work
Tote your Bible to work, even if you dont' have time to read it
you'll have it in your presence
If you're reading, be available to talk to people when they talk to
you
Bring up what you hear from church with someone at work
Be able to answer quickly and to the point, and think about it in
advance
We need to be able to defend the reliability of the Bible
Be ready to
say "I don't know, but I will find out for you", and when you find
out, quickly tell them
Life verse - Galatians 5:16 "I say then: Walk in the
Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the
flesh."
