organizations like Red Cross)-Measuring where we are at based on
our stage of life-Titus 2:1-9-sound doctrine refers to health and
is the healthy diet of a disciple , of being a healthy
Christian 5 groups-Older Men-3 marks of maturity-Temperate,
worthy of respect, self-control (they have substance, anchored in
the faith, walked through seasons), 3 marks of godliness-sounds in
faith, love, endurance (finish strong)-note that you can be mature
and not be godly, Younger men-be self-controlled-God wouldn’t
have said it if it wasn’t possible by God’s Grace and required
feeding yourself with the Word and prayer, Rise up!, Nothing
in this list is about talents or gifting but anout godliness, the
ownership for discipleship comes from membership, v9-slave
(bondservant, not based on race but debt-induced), even if you’re
stuck in a difficult situation it should be evident that you are a
Christian, What makes us different? - the Gospel of Jesus
Christ, that’s what sets our good works apart, fruits of the Spirit
are done through you, not by you by your tethering to the Gospel
E=Example of
Faith at work-NBA Finals-Stephen curry and
Kawhi Leonard, in press conference after game 5 and throughout
their careers I saw great example of living out their faith through
their work. What they do and how they do it, they’re among the best
(both have been referred to as the best ever in diff ways) b-ball
players but they’ve earned so much respect by HOW they play, words
like humble, positive, selfless, leader, inspiring. In interviews
they don’t blame, they are confident but not proud, they speak
highly of other players and coaches. Here’s the other element, they
express their faith openly in subtle ways, not annoying judgmental,

and some shots, when asked why he left game to help KD walk into
the locker room he said “sometimes the Spirit just tells you what
to do “. Kawhi when asked about his thoughts about KD getting hurt,
he said he would be praying for him.
